Abstract: The research entitled "Stress and coping styles of first year Medical students section A2, SY 2004-2005 of FEU-NRMF" primarily focused on the different and coping styles. The researchers used a descriptive survey method. Forty respondents were chosen for this study. The data was gathered by providing two sets of locally conducted questionnaires which correspondents to their different stressors and how they can manage stress. Frequency and percentage was used for data analysis. The research showed that common stressors among first year medical students section A2 were : examinations, deadline pressures, paper works, high standard of professors and high expectations of their family while for their coping styles faith ( praying to God ) ranks the highest as their major mechanisms in relieving stress.
