ABSTRACT: To compare the effect of different mediums in taking medicine (distilled water, orange juice, and soda cola) on the Intestinal Segment of male rabbit. Experimental study using an open-label, pre-test post-test, cross over trial. This study utilized the duodenal segment of the rabbits as adopted on the procedure of experiment 1, The Effect of Autonomic Agents on the Isolated Intestinal segment of the rabbit, in the laboratory workbook of Department of Pharmacology, FEU-NRMF. A kymograph setup was installed. The proponents compare the effect of the different substances by measuring the rate and the amplitude of intestinal contraction, which serves as the hallmark of this experiment.
