A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF GINGKO BILOBA, GLUTAPHOS, AND BRAINEX ON THE SHORT-TERM MEMORY AND READING COMPREHENSION RATES OF MEDICAL STUDENTS. - QUEZON CITY FEU-NRMF March 2000 - NO. OF PAGES 32

ABSTRACT: The effect of gingko biloba, glutaphos, and brainex on short-term memory and reading comprehension rates was tested on (36) subjects. Subjects were administered each drug orally once for one (1) week, with a one (1) week washout period between drug administrations. Ginglo biloba, brainex, and glutaphos increased reading comprehension rates by thirteen percent (13%, p<0.05), nine percent (9%, p<0.05), and two percent (2%, p>0.05), respectively. The increases due to gingko biliba and brainex were found to bestatistically significant. Gingko biloba, brainex, and glutaphos also increased short-term memory by 28 words (p<0.05), 21 words (p<0.05), and 14 (p>0.05) words respectively. The increases due to gingko biloba and glutaphos were found to be statistically significant.
