A STUDY ON THE TYPES OF PERSONALITY AS A FACTOR THAT AFFEXTS THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS

ABSTRACT: This study aims to know whether the personality type affects the academic performance of the respondents (1st year medical laboratory science section m). To support this study the researchers used the internet online resources such as articles, books and related thesis. The descriptive method of research is used, where the researchers conducted a survey, organized and tabulated the data. The total population of the respondents is 30. The researchers used survey questionnaires to gather the data from the respondents and statistical tools specifically the frequency and percentage distribution to analyze and interpret the data acquired which answered the three sub-problems. After gathering the data, the researchers found out that the personality type does affect the academic performance of the respondents. The researchers recommend continuing the development of this research to fill some gaps in determining the personality type test that should be used in determining the personality type of a person more accurately. Complexity and variety of in conducting a personality type test is also recommended.
