Summary, etc. ABSTRACT: Section 3D for CFM IIIb of FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine conducted a symposium titled "We advocate honesty" which is a seminar promoting the value of honesty among 1st year to 3rd year Medicine Students of FEU-NRMF. The symposium aims to decrease the number of students participating dishonesty among 1st to 3rd year medicine students of FEU-NRMF. A Pre-Test survey was conducted prior to the symposium; questionnaires were utilized as a tool in assessing the prevalence of dishonesty. The questionnaires were randomly given to 643 students and based on the findings of the present study, the following conclusions were drawn, First year students have the highest prevalence of academic dishonesty. The third year students are second to the highest with regards to academic dishonesty, and the second year students have the least prevalence of academic dishonesty. In all year levels, copying answers from another student's manual and assignment is the most common form of academic dishonesty committed. In all year levels, getting a higher grade motivates the students to commit academic dishonesty. The information that is in this study may help school administrators in their struggle to lessen dishonest activities being performed by students, and to better understand them.
