Summary, etc. ABSTRACT: The researchers evaluated the significant association of ambient temperature with the incidence of recorded dengue cases fron the Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation from 2008 - 2017. This study used a descriptive-correlation method approach to determine the ambient temperature and incidence of dengue cases. The findings of this study indicate that males are more affected by dengue virus as compared to females. It was also observed that patients aged 11 to 15 years old are frequently admitted for dengue in FEU-NRMF hospital. As for the monthly record of Dengue Fever and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Cases, the highest dengue virus transmission occurs mostly during the months of July to October while the lowest obsereved dengue virus trasmission occured on the months of January, March, April, May and December for the years 2008 - 2017. Furthermore, the ambient temperature in Quezon City peaked the highest on th month of April to June while the months of November, December and January was revealed to have the lowest temperature recorded.A low negative correlation was found to exist between monthly ambient temperature and dengue cases for the years of 2010, 2014 and 2016. In accordance to the findings of this study, a forecast program of the number of dengue cases for the month using the ambient temperature as an input variable was proposed to help increase the level of awareness of people to help them make immediate actions to further prevent dengue vrus from spreading.
