Summary, etc. Abstract: To evaluate the ophthalmologic findings across the different severity classes of Thyroid Eye Disease (TED), in a tertiary hospital. This study was an observational, cross-sectional cohort of patients with Thyroid Eye Disease. All patients who were 18 to 70 years old, seen at the Out-patient Department or Far Eastern Eye Center, and diagnosed with TED were included. Exclusion Criteria was patients with retinal, neurologic pathology, cataract graded NO5NC5or higher, increased intracranial pressure and presence of lid anomalies. A total of 24 eyes were included and classified according to severity based on the EUGOGO Classification. Best-Corrected Visual Acuity, presence of RAPD, presence of Extraocular Muscle limitation, Tear Break-Up Time, oxford Grading of Dry Eyes, Intra-ocular Pressure, Cup-to-Disc Ration and Retinal Never Fiber Layer Thickness using FD-OCT were recorded and evaluated across the different severity classifications. Independent sample t-test was done to check for a difference of these parameters across the EUGOGO severity classifications of TED. Statistical significance was based on p- value ≤ 0.05on the 95% confidence interval. 24 eyes of 12 patients were included in this study. The mean age of the subjects was 41±17.48 (range=19 to 68 years old) with 58.3 (n=7) percent between the age of 18-40 years old, 16.7 percent (n=2) between 41-60 years old, and 25 percent (n=3) were above 60 years old. Twenty-one eyes (87.5%) were classified as having Mild severity based on EUGOGO Classification; 3 eyes (12.5%) were classified as Moderate to Severe. The subjects with Moderate-Severe TED were younger compared to subjects with Mild TED (p=00.029). There was no significant difference in the BCVA (p=0.668), TBUT (p=0.272), distribution of Dry Eyes Grading (p=0.234) and CDR(p=0.150) among patients with Mild and Moderate -Severe Thyroid Eye Disease. Patients with Moderate-Severe TED were found to have higher IOP (p=0.028). There was no reported RAPD nor Extraocular Muscle limitation among the patients. The Global, Superior and Inferior average RNFL thickness were also not significantly different (p=0.513, 0.513, 0.965, respectively). In conclusion, patients with Moderate-Severe TED have higher IOP compared to patients with Mild TED. Patients with Moderate-Severe TED are also younger. Further studies are recommended to better understand this association and rationalize the connection between a younger age and a more severe condition.
