Summary, etc. Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the impact of the current pandemic in the preference of medical-related college programs among Grade 12 students of different strands. To answer this, the first objective of the study is to determine whether the chosen strand of the grade 12 students is aligned with the college program they will pursue. Second, tho know whether the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the college preferences of students, and if this preferences is toward the medical field. The last objective of this study is to describe how COVID-19 pandemic has affected the decision of the Grade 12 students to take up a medical related program. This study used a Triangulation mixed-method research design to bring together the differing strengths and non-overlapping weakness of quantitative methods with qualitative methods. The researchers gathered a total one hundred (100) Grade 12 participants and surveyed twenty-five (25) respondents for each strand. The researchers also interviewed eight (8) students to explore more on the preference factors towards a medical-related program. Results showed that majority of the Grade 12 Senior High School students is in a career track that is connected to their chosen college preference. Additionally, there a significant number students who thought of changing their programs due to the pandemic, but not necessarily wanting to take up a medical-related program. Overall, the situations during the pandemic played a part in the decision-making of the Grade 12 Senior High School Students in changing college preferences but are not necessarily related to the medical field. Nonetheless, going to a medical field amid the pandemic are considered preferable for several reasons such as family preference, wanting to have direct access to help patients, and great professionals opportunities in the medical profession.
