Summary, etc. Abstract: Stroke has a significant deterioration on the Quality of Life of survivors leading to physical, social and mental repercussions that affect the multiple domains of daily life of an individual and their families. The assessment of the Quality of Life in patients following a Chronic Stroke is an important element in examining the effectiveness of Conventional Physical Therapy Approach Rehabilitation. This study aims to analyze the general and domain specific quality of life in Stroke Survivors. A descriptive cross-sectional study design was conducted utilizing the Medical Outcomes Study Questionnaire: Short-Form 36 Health Survey (MOSQ: SF-36)and a Stroke-Specific Quality of Life Scale (SS-QOL), a 49-item patient-reported survey intended to assess-health-related quality of life (HR-QOL) between November 2019 and February 2020 in chronic stroke patients at least receiving at least .6 months of Conventional Physical Therapy Approach Rehabilitation. A total of twenty-two (22) participants have answered SS-QOL outcome measures obtaining an average score of 185 out of the maximum 245 score indicating moderate evidence on the improvement of the quality of life of stroke survivors receiving Conventional Physical Therapy Approach; Upper Extremity Function domain is the most affected while the Vision domain is the least affected. The MOSQ: SF-36 questionnaire was also answered by twenty-two (22) participants and quality of life was measured by assessing multiple domains. Fifty-five percent (55%) of the domains are below average, particularly the participants' Role limitations due to physical health indicating it is the most affected aspects. Other domains such as Emotional well-being and Social functioning having a higher score indicating a less affected domains. This study supports the utilization of outcome measures such as the MOSQ: SF-36 and SS-QOL denoting the quality of life of patients with chronic stroke. Improvement of Conventional Physical Therapy Approach rehabilitation may also be beneficial to ameliorate quality of life of stroke patients and implementation of a stroke-specific physical therapy program should be further employed.
