Summary, etc. Abstract:
Introduction: Understanding the risk factors of the disease, especially among employees who are at risk, will help in making necessary adjustments in health promotion and disease prevention. Thus, this study aims to determine the profile of employees and trainees at FEU-NRMF who tested positive for Covid-19.
Methods: This is Descriptive Study of medical records of 70 employees of FEU-NRMF with an actual RT-PCR test result from 2020 to 2021 using purposive sampling. Data entry and encoding were done using Microsoft Excel and presented as frequency distributions and percentages to present health workers' distribution as age, sex, occupation, signs and symptoms, co-morbidities, and pregnancy state (for women).
Results: Majority were ages 21 to 40 (79.6%) and are females (72%) with cough (38%), with no reported comorbidities (84%) and are nurses (34.3%) for the medical employee and are clerks (20.4%) for the non-medical employee. Discussion: This provides valuable insights into the age and gender distribution. This help identify shifts in covid diagnoses and allows for an analysis of potential gender specific trends in covid diagnoses. Moreover, the dataset's information on co-morbidities is pertinent for understanding the underlying health conditions of individuals.
Conclusion: There has been substantial reduction in diseases diagnoses following the onset of COVID-19, which appear to reach expected pre-COVID norms 12 months later. The largest reduction was noted among non-medical team. Other information: There was no funding from other institutions.
Keywords: COVID-19, health workers, demographics
