Summary, etc. ABSTRACT:<br/>Background: COVID-19 is an infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which was first discovered in Wuhan, China. Studies that determined the clinical features of individuals infected with COVED-19 have included chest radiographic features, as the lungs are the primary organs affected by the virus. In addition, intubation is also one of the key interventions done for<br/>COVID-19 patients especially those with more severe infections. This study aims to describe the radiographic features of patients with COVID-19 at a selected hospital in the Philippines by intubation status, which could verify trends discussed in previously published literature or determine if new patterns in radiographic features exist specifically in the local population.<br/>Methods: The study employed a retrospective design, which covered a records review of all patients with COVID-19 admitted at a selected hospital from March 2020 to December 2021.<br/>Results: 109 patient records were collected, and most of the patients were males, and were not intubated. Intubated patients demonstrate radiographic features which have more middle lung zone involvement, and air spaces as the common lesion seen. Other than this, there were no statistically significant differences between the intubated and non-intubated groups in terms of<br/>laterality involvement, central and peripheral distribution, and lesion type. Higher numbers of zone involvement on chest radiographs were also seen among intubated patients. Male sex, having at least one nasopharyngeal swab test, and for the symptoms, cough, shortness of breath, and headache were found to have possible association with intubation status in the study<br/>population.<br/>Conclusion: Radiographic features of patients with COVID-19 in the Philippines have some patterns that differ from other previously published studies. There is a need for further study to derive a more definitive pattern of radiographic findings among COVID-19 patients.
