Summary, etc. This experimental study aims to determine the effectiveness of IRR as an adjunct on stages 2-3 pressure sore healing according to decrease in surface area and presence of granulation and epithelial tissue. 10 subjects from selected government hospitals in Quezon City underwent stratified random sampling to represent proportionally the sub-groups of Stages 2 & 3. The control was the Standard Treatment which is wound care and turning. An initial assessment of surface area & color were done, followed by a final Assessment after 20 Treatment sessions. Results revealed that the effect of IRR to decrease the surfacd area in our subjects is insignificant with tobt 0.6024 greater than tcrit of 2.262. The effect of IRR to produce granulation and epithelial tissue in Stages 2-3 pressure sore is the same as with standard treatment alone. Further research is required to substantiate the claims of this study.
