Statistical treatment was confined to the use of frequency count, percentage distribution and weighted mean. The findings revealed that compensation is the most commonly employed coping mechanism, followed by rationalization, trivializing, and physical engagement. Withdrawal is the least employed coping mechanism. There is no difference in the pattern of choice of coping mechanisms between male and female students. Both of this gender group them employed rationalization and compensation.
