Summary, etc. ABSTRACT: To aid in the achievement of the Institute`s mission of producing competent, caring and compassionate medical professionals and of increasing in the standard of excellence of FEU-NRMF, this study were undertaken to increase the awareness of students on admission, promotion, retention and dismissal policies, as well as student services provided by the Institution. A research was conducted to evaluate the baseline level of awareness prior to intervention. Self-administered questionnaires were disseminated to all sections, with the objective of total enumeration. Based on their findings, objectives were formulated, and strategies were planned and implemented. An information campaign was launched through roo-to-room orientations, wherein the orienters enumerated and explained the different policies and services of the school. Afterwards a post-test was administered, with 537 respondents out of a total population of 1,026 students. The strategies were also evaluated as to obstacles encountered and solutions formulated. The results of the post-test were classified and tabulated as fully aware, partially aware or unaware and the percent increase of awareness for each item was determined. For admission policies, the percent increase of awareness on basic requirements for admission is 2.08% (from 96.96%). The percent increase of awareness on procedures on application increased by 19.42% (from 60.87% to 72.69%). A 17.20% (from 70.96%). A 17.20% (from 70.96% to 83.17%) increase in awareness was noted on requirements for admission of students from other lands, while the increase of awareness on educational benefits was found to be 48.78% (from 46.42% to 69.06%). For the results of promotion, retention and dismissal, the percent increase in a awareness was 1.60% (from 87% to 88.39%) for the policies and guidelines for promotion board rules, 34.68% (from 60.75% to 81.82%) on probation rules and 22.08% (from 67.44% to 82.33%) on debarment rules. Lastly, there was a 34.05% (from 46.42% to 62.23%) increase in awareness on the student services provided by the school. It was oncluded that the intervention done was effective in increasing the awareness of the student population on the admission, retention, promotion and dismissal policies as well as student services of FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine. However, the goal of 100% awareness was not achieved.
