Summary, etc. The anti-platelet property of garlic (Allium sativum) was compared to that of aspirin in albino rats. 18 albino rats were used in the study. The rats were divided into three groups namely; garlic, aspirin and control group. Each group consisted of 6 rats with 3 males and 3 females. After a week of acclimatization, a daily dose of 7.5 mg/kg of both garlic and aspirin were given to the rats and by oral administration )lavage). NSS was given to the control group. After a week of administration, the blood parameters were measured (bleeding time and coagulation). Statistical analysis by ANOVA showed no significant results in the garlic, aspirin, and control groups. Computed F= 0.20 is less than the CR: f> 3.38 (alpha 0.05) . Statistical analysis by ANOVA showed highly significant results in the garlic, aspirin and control groups.Computed F=8.90 is greater than:f> 3.86 (alpha 0.05). Scheffe`s test showed statistically significant findings between the means of garlic vs aspirin and garlic vs. control. Results showed that the anti-platelet effect of garlic is more potent compared to aspirin in albino rats
