Summary, etc. This study entitled, Towards the Promotion of Psychological Well-Being: Distressors Experienced by Hemodialysis Patients of Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation and the Coping Mechanisms they Employ,attains to axquire the objectives to know the hemodialysis patient`s opinion and preference regarding the distressors they experienced and the coping mechanisms that they use. This study examined of 35 adults receiving hemodialysis patients were randomly selected the research sample of respondents. The method that was used by the researchers for this study was a descriptive survey. The type of data collection that researchers used was a surveyed questionnaire wherein they were asked about the distressors they experienced and the coping mechanisms that was employed to alleviate the distressors. It includes the common distressors such as diet routine, physical limitation, changes in body image, financial capabilities, relationship with the staff, and; coping mechanisms such as Divertional activities, religious affiliation, and support groups. As a result of the study, most of the hemodialysis patients are experiencing physical limitation followed by emotional distressors such as depression and anxiety during the course of their treatment and this study recommends that patients should engage in other therapeutic activities, verbalize feeling and to accept their current condition.
