Summary, etc. Abstract: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the modified blood donors' questionnaire in screening transfusion transmissible infections. This study aimed to aid in blood establishments on the evaluation of prospective donor's history relative to current blood safety risks to promote healthy blood transfusion that ensures safe supply of blood that can save lives. The approach of the study was a validation study using a cross sectional type of research. One hundred thirty nine (139). Eligible blood donors were asked to answer the modified screening questionnaire. The modified screening questionnaire was assessed and compared with the serological result of the blood donors for HIV and Hepatitis B, to evaluate its specificity and sensitivity in screening transfusion transmissible infections. This study showed that the modified screening questionnaire has high specificity but not sensitive in screening transfusion transmissible infections.
