Summary: Abstract: Dwarfism is a rare disease with a multitude of medical or genetic causes, presenting with unique challenges during induction of anesthesia due to the variations in their respiratory, cardiovascular and neurologic systems. This is a case of a 36-year old male with undiagnosed dwarfism and obesity, with obstructive sleep apnea, for elective tonsillectomy, who had episodes of desaturation up to 88% during minimal sedation and was thus inducted with anesthesia using Awake intubation using a video laryngoscope.
