ABSTRACT: Laparoscopy has been widely accepted in the Philippines as a standard approach for the treatment of common uncomplicated surgical procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy and hernia surgeries. It has been adapted due to its numerous advantages over open surgery such as better post no pain, early recovery and cosmesis. Acquisition of the skill however of has slow due to the presumed difficulties of this relatively new discipline.
