ABSTRACT: A case of a 45-year-old, male, American, with chronic and persistent incapacitating neuropathic abdominal wall pain is presented. The patient had been misdiagnosed in sevenmajor medical centers in the United States of America for the past two years, as numerous diagnostic modalities and treatment measures were done but unsuccessful. Consequently, the patient was frequently hospitalized abroad for utilization of Patient Controlled Analgesiaand was maintained on oral narcotic analgesics. He was diagnosed at our institution with chronic abdominal cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome secondary to tacker fixation of mesh following laparoscopic incisional hernia repair and was successfully managed with laparoscopic removal of tackers affording absolute pain relief.
