Summary: Abstract: Fitness industry becomes popular nowadays. different types of workouts were created by experts, such as Powerlifting, Bodybuilding and Crossfit Training. The usage of protein powder supplements increases due to type of workouts. Protein powders are widely used by athletes and individuals for muscle development, performance and fat loss. Therefore, this thesis sought to analyze the effect of fat loss and muscle development with Protein Powder Intake among Fitness Enthusiasts of Famas Gym. The study used descriptive analysis method. A total of fifty (50) fitness enthusiasts from Famas Gym, classified as (12) bodybuilder, (13) casual-goer, (19) cross fitter and (6) powerlifter. A body fat percentage (with the use of skinfold caliper) and survey questionnaire were used as an instruments. The questionnaire contained questions about the demographic profile, frequency intake of protein powder, type of protein powder intake and type of workout. It was found out that ages 36 to 40 years old have the highest body fat content, followed by the age group 18 to 25 years old, then 26 to 30 years old. Lastly, the age group 31 to 35 years old have the lowest body fat content. Most of the respondents with higher body fat were male. Lean body mass was common among the fitness enthusiasts based on their body fat percentage. While most of them consume protein powder once a day for at least 5 to 6 times a week. Respondents who consume protein powder three times a day or more were at minimal results. It was found that the type of protein powder the respondents consume was Whey. Hence, it can be concluded that the association of protein powder intake with muscle development and fat loss is significant. The fitness enthusiasts included that their intake of protein powder varies on the type of their workout.
