Summary: ABSTRACT: Thyroid Image Reporting and Data System (TIRADS) is a risk stratification system, recently recognized in an American College of Radiology (ACR) white paper. However there is paucity of data been reported regarding the use of TIRADS in our local setting. Although foreign studies have been done regarding TIRADS, it is important to validate it against local data to determine its applicability and usability in our local institution so as to avoid unnecessary biopsy. The aim of this study is to determine the accuracy of thyroid imaging reporting and data system in detecting thyroid malignancy in comparison to Fine needle aspiration biopsy report and also to determine the sensitivity and specificity of the ultrasound features in the prediction of malignant nodule.
