Abstract: Intussusception is tunneling of one bowel segment into an adjacent bowel segment. Adult intussusception occurs infrequently and can take place in any location of gastrointestinal tract, it usually take place in the small and large intestines. It is commonly occurring in pedriatrics but differs in its presentation, etiology, and treatment. Intussusception in adults is often diagnosed on abdominal computed tomography (CT). Other radiologic imaging technique can be use such as radiographic, barium enema, ultrasound, colonoscopy and magnetic resonance imaging but most cases are diagnosed at emergency survival operation.
