Different literatures which discuss the knowledge, attitude, and practices of retail tobacco vendors from different countries, with accordance to their existing laws were reviewed. These journals were carefully selected using the database PubMed. Data and outcomes of these studies were then analyzed. Due to limited literature on electronic cigarettes, knowledge and perceptions on electronic cigarettes are instead assessed. Results from 11 selected literatures which are of most relevance to the goal of our study were analyzed. Six journals were used for the analysis of knowledge, attitude, and practice among tobacco retailers, and five journals were also chosen in the analysis of knowledge and perception to the use of electronic cigarettes. Results show that the majority of the population studied lack knowledge on the tobacco regulation acts and have disagreed to the total banning of cigarettes. The popularity of electronic cigarettes is increasing, with the majority of the population knowing about it. If proper implementation of laws are not done, a shift to electronic cigarettes may happen. The series of studies showed that there are still a huge number of people who lack knowledge and whose attitude and practices are inappropriate with regards to laws in selling tobacco from across different countries. Different factors were identified which may contribute to the actions and awareness of the sellers. Regulation on e-cigarettes should be equal to the regulations on tobacco products.
