Summary: Abstract: Hospitals and other facilities ought to be a source of quality and strength amid crises and calamities. They should be prepared to save lives and provide necessary health services such as laboratory exams, medications, treatment and rehabilitation. They need to be the image of trust and hope amid these critical times and contribute to the hospital community's sense of security and protection. (1)To determine the preparedness and compliance of FEU-NRMF Medical Center to the disaster risk management guidelines set by the Health Emergency Management Bureau of the Department of Health; (2) To identify and recommend possible improvements needed to be undertaken in terms of the disaster risk management and mitigation plan of the FEU-NRMF Medical Center A series of Discussions was conducted via Zoom together with members of the Facilities and Management Department of FEU-NRMF in order to look into the results of the modified questionnaire acquired from Various departments. The content of the questionnaire was analyzed and possible recommendations for unmet items in the questionnaire were discussed thoroughly. The DOH guidelines questionnaire was modified in this study for easier understanding of both parties. Majority of the items in the 5 indicators of hospital safety have been met by FEU-NRMF. Some of the unmet items in the guidelines were raised during the stakeholders meeting and reasons behind it were thoroughly explained to the researchers. Few of the items in the questionnaire remained unchecked since data about it is either not confirmed by the involved department of is simply not available. Most of the items in the modified questionnaire have been met by FEU-NRMF. In the case of the unmet items in the questionnaire, it only means that FEU-NRMF has an alternative set in place that works and is equally efficient and effective as compared to that item in the questionnaire. Lastly, some of the items in the questionnaire were deemed too specific and may not be applicable to our institution, and these items need to be adapted to different contexts considering that some indicators may not be necessary, appropriate nor tailored to some hospitals or health facilities like FEU-NRMF.
