Summary: Abstract: In the practice of democracy, voting is considered one of the pivotal roles of citizens of the country. These practices take part in democracy to prepare individuals for the development and growth of the country for the next generation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and understand the factors influencing students' voting preference in the 2022 National Elections. The study used a mixed-method design to analyze the voting preferences of FU-NRMF's students. It combined descriptive and exploratory research methodology to determine and explain the underlying factors that directly or indirectly affect voters' preferences and establish a coherent conclusion guided by empirical data. Based on the gathered data, students' preferences showed full context and transparency towards their ideal and exemplary political candidates, which are reflected in the data gathered. Among the factors that contribute to and affect voter preference, the data and findings established the primary factors: voter awareness and political views, presidential candidate's profile, religion, and social media. Overall, the results imply that among these factors, the voter's awareness and political views, together with personal knowledge, have the most significant impact on the voting preference of voters in the national elections. Aside from that, it also indicates that the profile of presidential candidates and social media has its average significance on the people's voting preference. While religion has no significant impact on voter preference in the 2022 national election.
