Summary: ABSTRACT: Numerous types of research have studied anxiety, motivation, and academic performance; however, little is known about the correlation between academic anxiety and academic motivation. Multiple studies have shown that a student's academic motivation may be influenced by anxiety. Hence, the researchers analyzed the correlation between academic anxiety and academic motivation of FEU-NRMF Nursing Students. The study was applied to a sample of 189 first-year nursing students utilizing the Academic Anxiety Scale and Academic Motivation Scale, then analyze using Pearson Product - Moment Correlation Coefficient. The results suggested that the students have low academic anxiety with a mean score of 2.43. Moreover, the study resulted in students having an overall low academic motivation. The two variables were then correlated and analyzed. Results supported the formulated null hypothesis of the study, where there is no significant relationship between academic anxiety and academic motivation. In conclusion, the results of this results of this study reflected that first-year nursing students of FEU-NRMF experience low levels of academic anxiety, and low to very low levels of academic motivation, which do not correlate each other.
