ABSTRACT:
Pregnancy complications during the first trimester are observed to be more common in women who conceive after infertility treatment. These occur not later than 12 weeks age of gestation and include miscarriage, vaginal bleeding, vanishing twin, and
ectopic pregnancy. Compared to normally conceived pregnancies, incidence of ectopic implantations is higher with pregnancies assisted by infertility treatments.!1! Ectopic pregnancy can be further classified into the more commonly seen Tubal Pregnancies and the less encountered non-tubal extrauterine gestations such as ovarian, cervical, abdominal, and previous caesarean scar pregnancy. Ovarian pregnancy is one of the least encountered ectopic gestations, with incidence rates ranging from 1 in 7,000 to 1 in 50,000 pregnancies, accounting for only 1-3% of all ectopic pregnancies. [2!An increasing trend of ectopic pregnancies are due to the improving diagnostic modalities with the help of ultrasonography and quantitative serum P-human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) measurements, which ultimately guide physicians in individualizing management, (3lIn this paper, we present a case of a 34-year-old, Gravida 1 Para 0 (0010) Ovarian Pregnancy, Right, 6 weeks AOG, Ruptured; Primary Infertility x 1 year (Male Factor- Increased DNA Fragmentation); Status Post HSG - Patent Bilateral Tubes; Status Post Ovulation Induction + Timed Coitus x 2 cycles; Status Post Ovulation Induction + Intrauterine Insemination x 1 cycle (January 26, 2023); Status Post Methotrexate x 1 dose (February 23, 2023).
