This Fifth Edition includes a new chapter titled, "Prayer in Nursing" which includes information on topics such as the history of prayer in nursing, finding time for prayer in nursing, prayer and nursing practice, and the ethics of praying with patients. A second new chapter titled, "The Spirituality of Caring: A Sacred Covenant Model of Caring for Nursing Practice," explores the history of spirituality in nurse caregiving and spiritual concepts in nursing theories of caring.
