Summary: Abstract: Nasotracheal intubation is performed in patients undergoing maxillofacial or dental surgeries and in patients with limited mouth opening. In patients with fracture, normal mouth opening may be limited. The objectives of this report are: 1) to present a case of an adult patient with chronic bilateral condylar fracture who will undergo burrhole craniectomy, 2) to give an overview of nasotracheal intubation and 3) to discuss the anesthetic management in a patient with limited mouth opening requiring general anesthesia. Patients with limited mouth opening who requires general anesthesia is a candidate for awake blind nasotracheal intubation and a skilled and knowledgeable anaesthesiologist is required to successfully manage the airway.
