Breast mass is a common complaint among Filipinos especially women. Although most breast massess are benign. It is mandatory for every physician to rule out breast cancer. Breast cancer had been consistently the most common cancer among Filipino women, second only to lung cancer both men and women alike. Squamos cell carcinoma is one of the rare types of breast cancer. The rarity of pure squamous cell carcinoma of the breast is brought out by the fact taht one would rarely see a detailed discussion of the disease in leading textbooks on surgery, pathology and oncology. A case of a 55 year old female with mass on the left breast is presented. Mammography revealed a cluster of granular microcalcifications with a Birads category of 4A. Escision biopsy was done which revealed squamous cell carcinoma. A modified radical mastectomy was performed.
