The management options in a 6-year-old male with bilateral congenital cataract were presented. The advantages and disadvantages of aphakic optical corrections were discussed. The timing of onset, diagnosis and surgery were emphasized. These parameters guided us with the most appropriate visual rehabilitation needed ina 6 year old patient whom quality of life is considered.
