MEDICINE Research project
A 24 year old nulligravid nurse presented with recurrent abnormal uterine bleeding. Work up included transvaginal ultrasound which showed only uterine fibroids: Due to the persistence of the bleeding, endometrial curettage was done. Histopathology revealed a low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma which is a very rare uterine malignancy and require hysterectomy. Although she is still desirous of a pregnancy total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salphingo-oophorectomy ahd to be done to control the malignancy.
