Summary: ABSTRACT: Smoking is the most important risk factor for developing COPD and quitting has significant effects on disease progression. This study then aims to determine the effect of the knowledge, attitude, and practices on smoking of COPD patients on their smoking-cessation. Using a snowball sampling technique, all COPD patients seen at the FEU-NRMF OPD will be asked to accomplish a self-administered questionnaire will determine their knowledge, attitude and practices on smoking. Data will be analysed using the Pearson Chi-Square, Spearman Correlation (numeric) or a Nominal counterrpart for measure of association.
