ABSTRACT: Community acquired Pneumonia ( CAP ) is an acute infection of the lower respiratory tract which is acquired in the community. Pneumonia is the 4th leading cause of morbidity and the 3rd leading cause of mortality in the Philippines. There were several published guidelines for management CAP e,g. American Yhoracic Society, British Thoracic Society, Infectious Diseases Society of America as well as the Philippine Practice Guidelines.
