Summary: ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the level of skills effectiveness of nurses in providing quality patient care in service wards in a selected tertiary medical center in Quezon City. The study seeks to profile the patient respondents in terms of their age, gender, length of confinement and civil status. It evaluated the level of skill effectiveness of nurses in their Nursing Care Practice according to Patricia Benner`s Functional Domains of Nursing Practice: The "Teaching-Coaching Function". "Diagnostic Assessment and Patient Monitoring Function". "Administering and Monitoring Therapeutic Interventions and Regiments". "Monitoring and Ensuring the Quality of Health Care Practices" and "Organization and Work-Role Competencies". Results of the study will reveal the domain were the nurses excel and where they show cause for skills improvement.
