ABSTRACT: The use of computer keyboards & mouse, cell phones, gaming controls, and other handheld devices in our present "Information Age" has been widely claimed in the media to lead to a variety of repetitive stress injuries particularly, carpal tunnel syndrome. Prior to this problem, this study aims to assess the level of awareness on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome among First Year Nursing Students who play DOTA with regards to its Definition & Mechanism, Etiology and Signs & Symptons. This study also intends to provide additional information to all that would read the study in terms of prevention and treatment of the disorder. In this study, First Year Nursing Students of FEU-NRMF are utilized to serve as the respondents. Descriptive Mehod was used in this study. Through purposive random sampling, 83 students are chosen to represent the entire population. After the data collection, the researchers found out that majority of the respondents are moderately aware on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in terms of Definition & Mechanism, Etiology and Signs & Symptoms. It shows that the respondents have insufficient knowledge on CTS. According to the data collected, the respoondents` duration of DOTA playing hours have no significant relationship on their level of awareness. It presents that the respondents` awareness on CTS do not affect the duration of their DOTA playing hours. The respondents ignore the possibility of acquiring CTS.
