Summary: ABSTRACT: This study seeks to find out the strengths and weaknesses of Nursing students from Batch 2014, 2015 and 2016, in the learning process, according John B. Biggs` theory of Solo Taxonomy. The purpose of this study is to help its readers to gain a better understanding and perspective on what specific level of the learning process the students need to improve on. The study also identifies the level of learning process that the students are involved with, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the students. Furthermore, it evaluated if there are any differences in the stages of learning among the three year levels. Data are gathered from the first three year levels of Nursing: First Year (Batch 2016), Second Year (Batch 2015) and Third Year (Batch 2014), respectively> A survey instrument self-constructed by the proponents was utilized and was tested for its validity and reliability. Using close-ended questions based on the skills learned at every step, the researchers were able to determine the strengths and weakness of the students in each stage. Most of the respondents were female students with a range of 18-20 years old, from Batch 2014. Among the stages of the learning process by Biggs, the stage that majority of the respondents has mastered is the uni-structural stage, with a grand weighted mean of 3.22. Furthermore, the stage that majority of the respondents has not yet mastered is the extended abstract stage, ranking last with a general weighted mean of 2.99. The stage that majority of the respondents have not yet mastered is the extended abstract stage, ranking last with a general weighted mean of 2.92.
