ABSTRACT: The Research is entitled "A Comparative Study on the Effective of Brisk Walking on a Treadmill and Bicycling an Ergometer Machine in Developing Total Body Endurance Among Sedentary FEU-NRMF Female Students aged 18-22 years old". This study aimed to determine which is more between brisk walking on a treadmill and bicycling an ergometer machine in developing total body endurance among sedentary FEU-NRMF: female students aged 18-22 years old. The target population of this research was the FEU-NRMF Female students. Subjects were selected through purposive sampling which means getting the entire population of the subjects with the use of questionnaires. The following are the inclusion criteria: 18-22 years old. Sedentary and without diseases. The exclusion are the following: Active, involved in any type of sports or aerobic training and with a disease. Selected subjects were randomly divided into two (2) groups. The first group underwent aerobic training program through brisk walking on a manually operated treadmill while the second group through bicycling an ergometer machine without resistance. Both groups performed the aerobic exercise for 20 minutes each session, three (3) x a week for ten (10) weeks. Evaluation of subjects` performance and response towards the training program was done by monitoring the BP, HR, RR and RPE before and after the exercise. The obtained results from the two (2) groups were compared and analyzed through T-test. The T-test showed that brisk walking on a treadmill and bicycling an ergometer machine has significant effect on BP, RR and RPE of the sedentary FEU-NRMF female students aged 18-22 years old. But t-test between means if brisk walking on a treadmill and bicycling ergometer machine have significant difference on the four (4) measures, bicycling ergometer machine has no significant difference except for RR and RPE. Researchers therefore conclude that bicycling ergometer machine is more effective in developing total body endurance among sedentary FEU-NRMF: female students aged 18-22 years old in effects to their RR and RPE only.
