Summary: Abstract: Environmental conservation and protection is one of the pressing matters of global concern. Various innovation and changes have altered the earth`s marine and aquatic life, forests and wildlife to the extent that the homeostatic equilibrium of nature is disturbed. Global warming threatens the entire physical environment, and wastes accumulate to the point where disposal is a problem. In this regard, this study aims to promote environmental consciousness on a level sufficient to induce participatory action among medical students. Posters and exhibit were used to expand the existing knowledge about the issues. A tree planting activity and art contest were held to stimulate interest and participation. Before and after the aforementioned activities, a survey was conducted to assess program effectivity. Based on a defined level of awareness, a grading/scoring/point system was in evaluation. Statistical significance was assessed by Z-test. Pre-evalution revealed that 45.5% of the 960 respondents were sufficiently aware of the environmental issues. Post-evaluation showed a marked increase of 43%, raising the number of sufficiently aware students to 777 (80.96% of the total population.)
