Summary: Abstract: This action program is aimed at supplementing the knowledge of the third year Medical Technology students regarding the methods of transmission and prevention of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Twenty subjects were randomly chosen from each of the sections MT -1, MT -2, MT-3, MT-4. Only 12 subjects were randomly selected from MT - 5. A pretest was conducted to identify the level of information of the subjects regarding the methods of preventing transmission of PTB. The information consisted of distribution of bookmarks and pamphlets, an exhibit at the IM lobby with film showing and poster displays, and a symposium at the conference room. A series of post-test (2) were conducted to evaluate the effectivity of the information campaign. The results of the pretest and post-tests were then tallied, computed, graphed, and analyzed statistically. The information dissemination campaign was effective in increasing the knowledge of the Medical Technology students regarding the methods of preventing transmission of PTB. The significance was indicated by the higher mean scores of the 2 post-tests as compared to the pre-test.
