ABSTRACT: This research is entitled "A Study on the Health Expenditure and Health Financing of Ideal Maintenance Specialists of FEU-NRMF". It emphasizes that health care is for all, regardless of socioeconomic status, age, gender or race. However, especially in developing countries like the Philippines, provision of adequate health care service poses a problem. A descriptive research design was utilized. The total number of Ideal Maintenance Specialists was determined and total enumeration was employed. Upon validation of questions, researchers scheduled for an interview with the Ideal Maintenance Specialists. Specialists. Data were then gathered and analyzed. Results revealed that 65% (55 out of 84) of the subjects were allotting a portion of their salary for health purposes in the form of health insurance, savings and "paluwagan". Expenses are mostly on medicines (41%). consultations (31%). laboratory test (18%). dental (8%). vaccines (1%). The remaining 35% (29 out of 84) of the subjects do not allocate a portion of their salary due to financial constrain. In addition, health care is not their primary concern. But if finances are sufficient, 66% (19 out of 29) of those who not allocate are willing to set aside a portion of their salary for health care, while 34% (10 out of 29) would still not do so. Of the 66% (19 out of 29) who do not allocate 42% (8 out of 19) prefers to avail health insurance whereas, 58% (11 out of 19) would rather save on their own. Of the 34% (10 out of 29) who still would not allocate a portion of their income, 20% (2 out of 10) have meager monthly income which does not suffice for their basic needs and 80% (80 out of 10) claimed that health care is not their primary concern.
