Summary: Abstract: Seventy five household members of TB patients from Barangay 630, Old Sta. Mesa, Metro Manila were enrolled in the program. From this number, baseline data were taken to identify the over all knowledge of the subjects and to serve as the guide for the 3E action group intervention. Of the original 75, only 69 were able to complete the whole course and were reevaluated after the implementation of the action program. All the criteria for evaluation were significantly increased; knowledge on etiology by 64.5%, predisposing factors by 15.94%, mechanism of transmission by 27.05%, signs and symptoms by 25.11%, management of PTB by 32.85%, and PTB prevention by 22.16%.
