ABSTRACT: Research culture is the structure that gives that behavior significance and it allows us to understand and evaluate the research activity. This study aimed to determine the existing state of research culture at FEU-NRMF focusing on the research capability, research outputs, and research dissemination. This study was conducted among students, faculty, and physicians of the said institution. A survey was first conducted among 149 participants consisting of post graduate interns, medical students, and faculty members (consultants, and residents). The respondents were administered validated questionnaires and the results of which represented the current research culture of the institution. Results revealed that 54.50% of the faculty and 51.40% of the students were interested in participating in research studies. In addition, 80% of the faculty and 60% of the students also believe that research is very important in one's profession and education. Despite the seemingly positive attitude towards research, financial and time constraints were identified as hindrances among others in pursuing a research. In addition, most students (44.0% and 78.60%) do not have research papers that were published locally and internationally, while majority (45%, 50%) of faculty respondents have one (1) research paper published locally and internationally, respectively. Also, majority (37.5%, 47.5%) of faculty respondents have presented forums and published through the internet only one (1) research paper.
