Summary: ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to determine the level of awareness of Grade 12 Senior High School Students of Far Easter University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation Second Semester of School Year 2017 - 2018 on the transmission, agents, source, and prevention of nosocomial infection. The study used the descriptive-correlational design to analyze and assess the relationship between the 101 respondents of Grade 12 Senior High School students' level of awareness on the transmission, agents, and source to the prevention of Nosocomial Infection. The findings indicated that the Grade 12 students are moderately aware of nosocomial infection in terms to transmission and agents, somewhat aware of its sources, and extremely aware of its prevention. Furthermore, it was found out that there is no significant relationship between the level of awareness of Grade 12 students on Nosocomial Infection transmission, agents, source and its prevention. From these findings, it was deduced that the majority of the respondents are aware of the prevention of nosocomial infection, somewhat aware of its sources, and moderately aware on its transmission and agents. Nonetheless, there is no significant relationship between the level of awareness of Grade 12 students on Nosocomal Infection transmission, agents, sources and its prevention. In accordance with the findings, an intervention program was proposed to address the problem in Nosocomial Infection awareness. The program can be implemented to increase the level of awareness of Senior High School students on Nosocomial Infection; hence, decreasing their vulnerability for these infections.
