Summary: Abstract: The history of the Philippines being colonized by conservative and religious country, Spain, has left repercussions in the culture, ideologies, and values of Filipinos, one that particularly stood out was their traditional mentality. The lack of proper sexual education serves as one of the leading cause of overpopulation, unwanted pregnancy, and increase in the case of sexually transmitted diseasesor also known as STDs. This research intends to describe the level of awareness of Grade 12 STEM students of Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation who are 18 years old and above about the proper and healthy sexual education. Additionally, this study aspires to understand and learn the perception of young adults regarding propersexual educatoin. The researchers distributed pre-survey questionnaires via Google Forms to scout the possible repondents fit for the study. The researchers the provided test-questionnaires that curated to assess their knowledge on sexual education. Simultaneously, the researchers also conducted interviews on individuals to evaluate their viewpoint on sexual education. The findings of the study are the following: First, based on the results of the test questionnaires, young adults know about the science behind using different contraceptives in preventing unwanted pregnancies and acquiring sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Second, they are aware of the consequences of unsafe and unhealthy sexual intercourse. Last but not the least, the environment of the respondents affects their perception on the subject of sexual education, nonetheless they are still in favor of implementing sexual education to the system of the Philippines.
