ABSTRACT: Sexually active teenagers have been a concern of many, hence the development of sex education as a part of their basic education curriculum (DepEd Order No. 31, 2018). The program was designed to either prevent sexual risk behaviour or to delay initiation of sexual actions that may lead to unwanted pregnancy, the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other untowardly outcomes. In our country, parents' perspective regarding sex education may vary as well and so, this study seeks to view the perspective of the parents whose children are to receive sex education. We aimed to determine the parents' perspective on sex education which will serve as a tool in identifying any disagreements and acceptance in the program that may serve as a hindrance in the implementation of the said program.
