Summary: Abstract: This study was conducted to determine if the exposure and non-exposure to K-12 of Bachelor of Science undergraduate students is associated with their mental toughness level. The mentioned research target population are students aged 20-21, enrolled in Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) in the school year 2019-2020. The collection of data was administered in the premises of FEU-NRMF with the approval of deans of School of Physical Therapy, School of Nursing, School of Medical Technology, School of Radiologic Technology & School of Respiratory Therapy. Prior to answering the Mental Toughness Questionnaire - 48 (MTQ-48), each participants was given an informed consent form. The researchers hired a licensed statistician to: compute prevalence ratio, analyze, and assist in the interpretation of data. After a computation of chi-square test for independence, the results showed that there is no significant association between the exposure, and non thereof, of students to their mental toughness levels: (x2(1)=0.00758, p=0.931). However, results found that there is a significant difference between the depression scores of students who underwent K-12 tract to those who didn't undergo K-12 track: t(184)=2.764, p=0.006). Depression levels are higher for those who underwent K-12 (M=9.34, SD=4.74) than those who didn't undergo K-12 track (M=7.57, SD=3.99).
