Summary: Abstract: This action program conducted by the Junior Interns (August - September, 1994) focused on the teaching of an Area Based Program Planning. This is addressed to the Core Group Leaders and Officers aged 15 - 24 years old of Area 1, 3, 4 and Macario Asistio High School, Dagat-dagatan, Malabon for them to formulate an action program that is based in the community against drug abuse. However only the core group leader and officers in Area 3 participated (See Appendix Q). We conducted a pre-evaluation questionnaire, to know their weak and strong points on knowledge and skills of Area Based Program Planning. After the evaluation two seminar workshops (September 10 and 17, 1994) were conducted, follow-up teaching was also done in between seminars. After the last seminar workshop, the core group leader and officers had a community assembly guided by our group. In this community assembly, the core group leader submitted the proposed action program with minor revisions dependent on: a.) feasibility and practicality of carrying out the plan as perceived by the community, B.) priority projects of the community. A comparison of the results of the pre-evaluation and post-evaluation scores and rating was made. Results showed a significant increase (See Appendix B, J and N) on knowledge and skills on Area based Program Planning.
