Summary: Abstract: Tuberculosis is still considered as one of the dreaded disease in the Philippines which necessitate an intervention. And this action Program aims in helping to reduce the prevalence rate of TB through early detection by sputum microscopy and chest x-ray, through treatment aided by the Philippine Chest Clinic and through TB seminar in Barangay 373 Tambunting, Sta. Cruz, Manila. Eighty-five households (15%) were randomly sampled out of 572 households. All sputum and Chest x-ray results were negative except for the 6 positive TB on chest x-ray. These people were referred to the Philippine Chest Clinic for treatment. A preventive intervention was also made thru a seminar concerning the knowledge, attitude and health practices of the people towards TB. Statistical test showed a positive correlation or a significant differences between the Pre and Post evaluation scores. Therefore, there was a significant improvement from the Pre-evaluation scores to Post evaluation scores.
